First responders at motor vehicle crashes or environmental hazards may contact the public safety answering point (PSAP) to request a West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) approved cleanup company when hazardous materials are released into the environment

The DEP is responsible for ensuring containment, cleanup, and reclamation occurs in a timely and satisfactory manner when an approved environmental cleanup company is dispatched

Creates new section §17C-4-18 under the Accidents article of West Virginia Code
