Administrative employees, staff, and non-uniformed personnel of the Division of Corrections, Division of Juvenile Services, and the West Virginia Regional Jail and Correctional Facility Authority would receive a 10% annual pay increase effective July 1, 2026

The raise applies regardless of where the employee reports to work and aims to address recruitment and retention difficulties in these agencies

Funding for Division of Corrections and Division of Juvenile Services employees comes from general revenue appropriations; Regional Jail Authority employees are funded through an existing special revenue fund

Employees receiving this increase may exceed their pay grade maximum, with the raise still taking effect despite Division of Personnel limits

The bill amends existing law that previously provided $6,000 in raises over three years (2018-2020) to all corrections employees
