County commissions may impose a "special emergency ambulance service fee" on users of emergency ambulance services within the county

Lodging businesses (hotels, motels, inns, bed-and-breakfasts) are assessed one fee per facility or parcel regardless of the number of rooms or guests

Cabin and campsite rental owners with fewer than 12 units on a single or contiguous parcels pay only one emergency ambulance service fee for the entire property

Properties with 12 or more cabins or campsites may be assessed additional fees, capped at one fee per every 12 units

Fee proceeds must be deposited in a special fund and used exclusively for emergency ambulance service expenses, including land acquisition, construction, equipment, and ambulance authority operations
