Douglas John Skaff Jr. served in the West Virginia House of Delegates representing the 30th, 35th, and 57th Districts beginning in 2008, rising to the position of Minority Leader

Skaff was a West Virginia University graduate who earned a bachelor's degree in marketing (2000), master's degree in industrial labor relations and business management (2002), and honorary degree in public service (2012)

At WVU, he served as Student Body President, founded the Mountaineer Maniacs, and co-founded the WVUp All Night program

Beyond politics, he worked as a businessman in the building materials industry, Skaff family enterprises, and as a media executive

The resolution directs the Clerk to prepare a certified copy for his surviving family: wife Marisa, sons Andrew, Elias, and Alexander, parents Doug Sr. and Maryann, and siblings Teresa and Thomas
