Authorizes natural burial and green burial in West Virginia, defined as burial without embalming fluids, vaults, liners, or non-biodegradable materials, using only biodegradable containers or shrouds

Eliminates the requirement for a licensed funeral director or embalmer for natural burials, transportation of unembalmed remains, or burials conducted under this article

Prohibits cemeteries that offer natural burial from requiring embalming, vaults, or non-biodegradable containers as conditions for burial

Strips the Board of Funeral Service Examiners of regulatory authority over natural burial practices and voids any rules from professional licensing boards or trade associations that restrict natural burial

Takes effect 90 days from passage
