Allows classroom teachers who joined the Teachers Retirement System on or after July 1, 2015, to sell up to 10 unused personal leave days back to their county board of education annually

Compensation for sold leave days equals 80 percent of the daily substitute teacher pay rate for substitutes with a bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience

Payment for unused leave days must be made on or before June 30 of each school year

Teachers who sell their unused leave days permanently forfeit those days and cannot use them for any other purpose

Intended to reduce teacher absenteeism by providing a financial incentive for attendance
