WV SB84

Prohibits law enforcement officers from placing surveillance cameras or game cameras on private land without obtaining consent from the owner, lessee, or other person entitled to possession, or a valid search warrant

Allows an exception for cameras placed in areas where officers have a lawful right to be and facing locations open to public view

Defines "private land" as posted land, cultivated land, or fenced land as defined in existing West Virginia trespass law (§61-3B-1)

Amends West Virginia Code by adding new section §62-1A-12 under the Search and Seizure article
