Secretary of State may charge a bad check fee not exceeding $5 plus any amount passed on from a financial institution when payments are rejected or declined for insufficient funds, invalid account numbers, closed accounts, or other reasons

Bad check fee provision now covers automatic bank transfers in addition to checks and money orders

Secretary of State gains authority to waive or reduce administrative late fees when delinquency in annual report filing or payment was caused by circumstances beyond the filer's control

Secretary of State must develop an official veteran-owned business logotype within 60 days and create an application process within 90 days for veteran-owned businesses to use the designation

Annual reports must now include an e-mail address for receiving informational notices and filing reminders, unless there is technical inability to comply
