Authorizes appointment of per diem Senate employees for the 60-day Second Regular Session of the 87th Legislature, including up to 30 Class I administrative assistants ($100-150/day), 10 legal counselors ($250-400/day), and various support staff positions

Establishes monthly salaries for 31 full-time Senate positions for year 2020, ranging from Mail Clerk at $4,165/month to Chief Counsel/Chief of Staff at $11,908.33/month

Grants the Senate Clerk, with presiding officer approval, authority to hire additional per diem and full-time staff as needed during and between legislative sessions

Gives the presiding officer of the Senate sole authority to set compensation rates for certain positions including Sergeant at Arms and Doorkeeper

Authorizes the Clerk and presiding officer to supervise and dismiss all staff personnel appointed under this resolution
