West Virginia Senate commends volunteers who assisted in recovery efforts following the May 2025 flash flooding at Chief Logan State Park in Logan County

Flooding damaged park facilities, infrastructure, and natural areas, prompting immediate response from community members demonstrating the "Mountaineer Spirit"

Recognizes specific volunteers including Hatfield & McCoy Trails officials, Tug Valley High School student Jayden Hannah, WV Department of Environmental Protection Cabinet Secretary Harold Ward, Logan County Commissioners, City of Logan Mayor and Fire Department, coal company representatives, and construction workers

Volunteers cleared mud, debris, blocked waterways, and fallen trees while restoring damaged facilities under challenging and dangerous conditions

Directs the Senate Clerk to forward copies of the resolution to volunteer organizations and local emergency management offices
