George Washington High School Cheerleading team placed third in the UCA Division II National High School Cheerleading Championship "Traditional" Division, held January 30 through February 1, 2026, in Orlando, Florida

First time a West Virginia high school cheer team has competed in the "Traditional" Division at the national level and first time earning a medal at this event

Team qualified after placing first as Regional Division winner at the UCA Smoky Mountain Championship in Sevierville, Tennessee, on December 6, 2025

Team consists of 21 members led by captains Terynn Miller and Kaylyn White, with Head Coach Lori Davis and Assistant Coaches Kenyatta Grant and Lindsey Atkins

Senate directs the Clerk to forward a copy of the resolution to Head Coach Lori Davis
