Director of the Department of Family Services must request a federal waiver from USDA by July 1, 2026 to exclude "accessory foods" from SNAP-eligible purchases

"Accessory foods" defined as snack foods and desserts (potato chips, ice cream, cookies, candy, pastries), beverages and meal supplements (coffee, tea, sodas, condiments, spices, sugar), and products with these items as main ingredients

If the waiver is granted, the department must prohibit SNAP benefits from being used to purchase accessory foods in Wyoming

If denied, the department must resubmit the waiver request by July 1 of each subsequent year until approved

Effective immediately upon enactment
