Correctional forestry crew supervisors, correctional crew supervisors, correctional forestry crew managers, and other wildland firefighting employees of the state forestry division shall receive hazard pay differentials for firefighting work deemed hazardous

Eligible wildland firefighters shall receive paid time off in accordance with federal standards for firefighter paid time off

The Office of State Lands and Investments must monitor federal standards when determining compensation, though federal standards are not binding on the office

Appropriates $422,500 from the general fund for hazard pay for the period May 1, 2026 through June 30, 2028, with unexpended funds reverting to the state

The act takes effect May 1, 2026, with rulemaking provisions effective immediately upon the Governor's signature
