Maximum liability for governmental entities under the Wyoming Governmental Claims Act increases from $250,000 to $1,000,000 per claimant for claims arising from a single transaction or occurrence

Aggregate liability cap for all claimants from a single incident increases from $500,000 to $2,000,000

Annual inflation adjustments to liability caps will be calculated by the general services division using the Consumer Price Index or 3%, whichever is less

Local government self-insurance program limits are updated to match the new $1,000,000 per claimant and $2,000,000 aggregate caps

Effective July 1, 2026, applying only to claims based on transactions or occurrences on or after that date
