School districts must provide free feminine hygiene products (tampons, sanitary napkins) in all female-designated restrooms regularly used by students, starting school year 2026-2027.

Boards of trustees must inform students of the availability and location of these products.

$487,500 appropriated from the public school foundation program account to fund the program for school years 2026-2027 and 2027-2028.

Reimbursement caps set at $1,100 per 100 female students in grades 6-12 for 2026-2027 (covering dispensers and supplies), and $850 per 100 female students for 2027-2028 (supplies only).

Effective date is July 1, 2026, with appropriation funds reverting if unexpended by June 30, 2028.
