Wyoming government entities prohibited from using AI systems to calculate or assign "social scores" based on individuals' known, inferred, or predicted social behavior or personal characteristics

Government entities banned from using AI with biometric data or bulk image gathering from the internet to identify specific persons without consent, if such use would infringe constitutional rights

Biometric data defined as fingerprints, voiceprints, eye retinas/irises, and other unique biological patterns, but excludes photographs, video/audio recordings, and HIPAA-protected health information

Exemptions apply to the University of Wyoming, community college districts, and certain hospital/healthcare district entities

Effective date: July 1, 2026
