Wards gain a new statutory right to monthly in-person contact from their guardian to monitor well-being, subject to court review

Guardians must make monthly in-person visits with wards and submit written accounts with dates of each contact in their court reports

Guardian and conservator fees are capped at the federal Social Security representative payee rate under 42 U.S.C. § 405(j)(4)(A), and cannot unreasonably diminish the ward's estate

Guardians and conservators must notify all entities they pay on behalf of the ward about their appointment
