Increases the allowable education space capacity from 115% to 135% of standard space levels for calculating routine and major maintenance funding for school districts

Appropriates $31.9 million from the public school foundation program account to the state construction department for major maintenance payments to school districts for the period July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2028

Appropriates $11.8 million from the public school foundation program account to the department of education-school finance for routine maintenance payments for the same two-year period

Total combined appropriation of $43.7 million, with unexpended funds reverting by law on June 30, 2028

Takes effect immediately upon completion of all acts necessary for the bill to become law
