Makes the bridge over Smith Street and Route 95, the George Nee Bridge.
Establishes an opportunity for employee ownership where the owner notifies all current full-time and part-time employees and provides them with a 30-day window in which to initiate a process to potentially purchase the business as a workers' cooperative.
SENATE RESOLUTION CONDEMNING POLITICAL VIOLENCE AND REAFFIRMING THE PRINCIPLES OF CIVILITY, PUBLIC SAFETY, AND DEMOCRATIC GOVERNANCE
Changes the date for the election of delegates to the conventions from the fourth Tuesday in April to the first Tuesday in March 2028.

Adds early voting to the 50 feet buffer prohibitions against politicking during election day voting.

Clarifies the role of a corporation electing to be governed as a workers' cooperative to allow it to operate as a hiring hall under certain circumstances.
Allows animal control officers in the cities and towns to lawfully take charge of and provide adequate care to any animal found abandoned or neglected or hazardously accumulated and includes them as agents authorized to enforce the provisions of this law.
Provides that exemptions to the prohibition of liquor licenses within two hundred feet (200') of schools or places of worship do not eliminate neighboring property owners’ remonstrance rights to object to the license.
Establishes the Rhode Island orange heart medal to formally recognize Rhode Island veterans whose service exposed them to toxic herbicides, burn pits, or other hazardous agents.
Removes the fee for registration and plate transfer for a Distinguished Service Cross registration plate.
Sets the zoning statewide for “family child care homes” to no fewer than twelve (12) children maximum.
Authorizes temporary periods for extended service hours under existing liquor licenses for the 2026 FIFA World Cup Tournament, subject to limitations or opt out by a municipality via council resolution.
Extends teacher certifications without fee or penalty for three (3) or five (5) years for teachers who hold certifications as of July 1, 2026.
Requires all write-in votes, regardless of qualification, to be reported and published by the state board of elections, on its website.
Amends the composition of the urban collaborative in Providence and provides that it is governed by a board of trustees.
Allows the dependents of a national guard member, who is in good standing, to be eligible for tuition assistance.
Amends the standards and limitations on permitted parking requirements for dwelling units.
Requires party chairpersons to submit lists of party voters to the mayor or council president within 30 days of notice of vacancy in a municipal election office and mayor/council president are required to make a replacement nomination within 30 days.
Provides that minor subdivisions include single family infill subdivisions and establishes procedures for single family infill subdivisions within the subdivision of land chapter of the general laws.
Disabled veteran license plate may be transferred to veterans' spouse or issued to veteran or veterans spouse.
Establishes the Rhode Island center for employee ownership to facilitate businesses in transitioning to an employee-owned business model.
Makes several amendments to provide for an online nomination paper portal for election nomination papers.
Exempts an individual in foster or adoptive homes from the fee associated with drivers education classes at the community college of Rhode Island.
Amends the state building code and would require that the state adopt the 2024 International Residential Code and prohibit the state building committee from adopting amendments for one to four residential dwelling units until 2030.
Utility relocation costs related to highway construction to be partially or fully paid for by the state.
Establishes the state-funded rental subsidy program.
Permits a nurse who has the appropriate knowledge, credentials and clinical competency, to provide home services foot care, which includes routine foot and nail care, as well as implementing a plan of care that includes hygiene and fingernails.
Permits retired superior court magistrates to be assigned to perform service pursuant to §§ 8-2-11.1, 8-2-39, 8-2-39.1 or 8-2-39.2 and be reemployed by the superior court without any forfeiture or reduction of any retirement benefits.
Prohibits employers from seeking/using credit reports in making hiring decisions concerning prospective employees, asking questions about the applicant's financial past during interviews or including credit history questions in their job applications.
